The officer of the year is our Corrections Officer Nicholas Wall.

Wall has been employed at Multi-County Correctional Center since 2020. Wall was selected by his peers as the Multi-County Correctional Center’s 2023 Officer of the year based on his professionalism, attendance, quality of work, knowledge of work, dependability, initiative, motivation, judgement, any commendations received in 2023, and personality. Wall is soft spoken and is always available to assist his fellow employees with work duties.

The civilian of the year is our Maintenance Supervisor Terry Widder.

Widder has been employed at Multi-County Correctional Center since 2022 and worked here from 2015 to 2018 prior. Widder was selected by his peers as the Multi-County Correctional Center’s 2023 Civilian of the year based on his professionalism, attendance, quality of work, knowledge of work, dependability, initiative, motivation, judgement, any commendations received in 2023, and personality. Widder goes above and beyond in the maintenance department, responding quickly and efficiently to get the job done. He supervises two other maintenance workers here and has great knowledge of maintenance that he shares with them.
